Liberated Writer Data Privacy Policy

I’m committed to running a GDPR-compliant business, and I value your right to privacy. I believe it’s important to not only be thoughtful about how and where we store data that isn’t ours, but to be transparent about the systems we use.

I’m committed to your privacy. I do not feed any of your information into generative or agentic AI, and I only use assistive AI tools (transcriptions or closed captions) with consent from all parties involved. Where known and where possible, I turn off all AI options in the programs and platforms I use that include client data. I also use a secure password manager, 2FA, and authenticator apps to shore up security on these logins, wherever available.

If you have any questions that aren’t answered below, please ask! I believe we each have a right to know how our data is being managed.

Email collection:

All collected email addresses and associated metadata through Squarespace’s membership platform (The Liberated Writer 5-Week Course, self-paced courses, the Liberati community) are subject to Squarespace’s privacy policy.

Email addresses and associated metadata submitted through embedded forms on my websites are added to my MailerLite email lists and are subject to their privacy policy.

When I download backup CSV files of my subscribers, those are stored on a password-protected encrypted external hard drive owned by me.

Client intake forms:

Any information submitted through the intake questionnaires associated with 1:1 coaching are saved on Acuity Scheduling servers. I change my login password to that account frequently. Acuity will be absorbed into Squarespace soon, at which point the Squarespace privacy policies will be applied to that information. I don’t save any of that data locally, and I don’t share access to that account with anyone else.

Recorded coaching calls:

I’m currently transitioning from Google Drive & external hard drive storage to more secure Proton Drive storage.

Older recordings: Because I used to send the recordings via Gmail, the large files were stored in my Google Drive for download. I’ve since deleted those files from the Google Drive and switched that email hosting from Google to Proton. The recording files still live on an unencrypted external hard drive, in case anyone requests access to their older recordings. Also happy to delete any upon request!

Starting Jan 2026: When a recording is requested, I save the Zoom files to an encrypted Proton Drive folder. From that, I create a download link that expires after 30 days. I no longer use Gmail, so the link is sent through encrypted Proton Mail. If you do not use an encrypted email service, the email containing the link will not have that protection.

iEQ9 Results:

Client iEQ9 results are available to me through my Integrative Enneagram practitioner dashboard. I don’t share my login credentials with anyone else. “Coaching Companions” of each client are downloaded and saved to a password protected folder on my local hard drive. I am the only one with access to those downloaded files.

Requesting data deletion:

I’m happy to delete any data I might have collected from you upon request. This includes email address, intake forms, call recordings, and iEQ9 results. Email contact at ffs dot media to request your data be deleted.
